Your author career is a business—and your data is one of your most valuable assets. From manuscripts and ARC lists to newsletters, assistants, and online platforms, today’s authors face security risks that go far beyond spilled coffee on a laptop.
Join us for a practical, easy-to-understand seminar designed specifically for authors, where you’ll learn how to protect your creative work, secure your accounts, and safeguard your reader community. We’ll break down the critical differences between free email accounts and professional platforms like Office 365 and Google Workspace, show you how to back up your data the right way, and teach you best practices for managing assistants, beta readers, and ARC teams without putting your business at risk.
You’ll walk away with real-world strategies you can implement immediately—no tech degree required. If you rely on cloud storage, run a newsletter, work with helpers, or simply want to ensure your author business is protected, this seminar is a must-attend.

There is a right way and a wrong way to launch a book. Most first-time authors do everything backwards: they start marketing after publishing. This session flips the timeline and shows you how professionals do it.
Learn:
When to publish (and why timing matters)
Ideal pre-order timelines (by genre)
Building anticipation without being annoying
ARC timelines, platforms & expectations
Cover reveals that actually work
Using your network and community properly
Launch phases: tease → reveal → convert → sustain
What to do the week after launch
Mistakes new authors make that tank visibility
You’ll walk away with a reusable launch blueprint — so every book is easier than the last.
